I guess the C-Series/A220 was already majority Airbus at this point, still a bummer though. Boeing must be pleased

They made their planes too comfortable and nice, that was their issue they could never get into the cattle car mentality

W ell, that’s disappointing, but not really surprising.

I doubt Boeing is especially pleased about having forced a weak competitor into the arms of better capitalized rivals, especially when it has probably cost them a bunch of fighter sales as well.

Well, at least there's still deHavilland.

Boeing ruined something good for everyone. The only winner is airbus.

And that’s their own fault. Sure, Bombardier’s dumping wasn’t cool but it’s not like Boeing even had a horse in the race. Airlines already told them the 737 is too big and they weren’t interested. Then by being petty and getting Congress involved they went and gave their largest competitor a massive gift.
If anything, Embraer had way more right to complain about Bombardier than Boeing. Now Airbus is laughing all the way to the bank while Boeing still doesn’t have a plane to compete in that market.

After shortsightedly dropping the 717, which is now the basis of COMAC's new jet.

Goodbye Bombardier. I have thousands of hours in the CRJ 200 and 900, and will always have a soft spot for them. The 900 especially is one hell of an aircraft. Handles great, has plenty of range, fast, and just works well. I’ve long since moved on and up, but I really enjoyed their planes.
